"I would absolutely say this mop is better than a swiffer! It is lightweight, sturdy and red - I love red this year! It comes with a refillable bottle, that you can add your own cleaner to! It also comes with 2 washable pads that can be popped right into the washing machine :)"

Was great while it lasted

"I bought my first Rubbermaid Reveal mop about 8 months ago. It was awesome! We have all hardwood and ceramic tile throughout so I bought an extra solution container and another washable pad. Everything worked like a breeze after it stopped leaking for the first little bit (may have been user error). But then it snapped in half. We only mop about twice per week, and it broke after less than 6 months. We bought another one because we loved it so much. Unfortunately, today (after only two months), the second one snapped in half. Unfortunately, I won't be buying a third since we lost the original sales receipt so Rubbermaid won't send a replacement. I WILL be going to Canadian Tire this week to find out if they can give us another one with a receipt in case it happens again."

Works well but...

"Bought the mop because I was tired of buying expensive solution and pads for the swiffer. Great cost cutter using solution of your choice and washable pads. I would recommend buying a second pad to have on hand in between washings.

But...

After about 9 months the bottom swivel mount broke. Mop still worked but control was erratic. Eventually drilled a hole through the mount and slide a bolt through. worked fine. Then after about a year the botttle became deffective and would not allow fluid to flow. Replaced bottle, fixed. 16 months the handle broke loose. needed to crazy glue back together and no longer hang by the handle clip. 18 months, where the handle mates to the plastic portion by the bottle broke. Un fixable

I am going to try a new one in hopes that re-engineering at rubbermaid has addressed these concerns. Stay tuned.

P.S. When storing in between uses. Remove the bottle and squeeze trigger to expell remaing liquid in the pump and dont hang from the hook."

"I must say I was really impressed with this mop at the beginning, but after only about one month of use the handle snapped completely off the mop head. It is a great time saver and worked well up until it broke, not worth it if you have to replace it every couple of months."

"I love this product - I also purchased the dry mop pad at Home Depot. It catches all my dust and cat hair in between wet mopping - I use it for polishing floors, too! Sure wish Canadian Tire would carry these washable pads!"

Buying another one despite it breaking!

"This is the best mop I've found for hardwood floors, and I've tried a lot of them. The spray mechanism was always a little wonky as the bottle seemed to pop out every once in a while, and eventually the mop broke shortly after the warrantee expired. However, since it cleans so well and is so convenient to use, I'm buying another one. I am hoping I just had a dud spray mechanism and will assume that I'll not get much more than a year's use out of it - hence only three stars, otherwise it would be 5."

Hope this lasts, because it rocks!

"Just bought this tonight, and I love it. It's so simple and a nice design. i LOVE the pad, and how it just "velcros" on (like some kind of NASA style aplix).
I just read other reviews, and I am so worried about the head piece breaking off or the trigger going. I really hope this doesn't break, because this mop is super fantastic!!!!!!!!"
