"This is a great life jacket for kids as it's not as big and bulky as the regular jackets and they can stay floating in an up right position where as the regular life jackets push them on their backs and my kids hated that. Love this life jacket!"

Exceeded my expectations!

"I had tried to buy one of these last year but they sold out so fast I missed out. I had two friends rave about them. This year I picked one up early in the season.
I love that they support my sons body and head at the right angle for him to actually swim and not just bob around. He is gaining so much confidence at the pool and he can work on kicking and paddling.
Great buy, reasonable price!"

"We love this product. My 3 yr old has been using it all summer. At the lake, and in the pool. I find its more comfortable for him than a life jacket. Instead of flipping on his back, he is floating forward. I would highly recommend this to any parent. Of course it does not replace a life jacket, but its great for family swimming situations."

"Saw lots of 5 star ratings so figured I've give it a try. Went through several different types with my older daughter and none were that great.
Bought this one for my younger daughter and she was kicking and moving around the pool and having lots of fun in it right away. She's 2 1/2 and weighs around 33 pounds.
It is by far the best child flotation device for a pool I have seen. It's obviously not a life jacket, but it kept her head above water regardless if she was on her tummy or back and allowed her to move around freely.
Ended up buying a second for visiting kids. Throwing out the 'water wings" and shirts with foam in them."

"It's better than a life jacket, as you stay in a proper upright position, instead of falling on your back. Better than the blow up floaty things, as they deflate & can be rough where the plastic connects.
My boys have gained a sense of security, while gaining indepences from me. (I can now freely move.)
Purchased last summer, my parents own the pool & love it. They've requested that I purchase a second one for my other son. Plus, I'm sure they enjoy the benefits of when all the other kids come to visit."

"Fantastic. My 3yo had clung to me all through swimming lessons, clung to me at the beach. Water was nice, but only if you had a death grip on a parent. And then we got this, and she quickly noticed: "I can't sink in this!" and was off dog paddling away from me _that afternoon_.
This was just a few weeks ago and she's already wanted to experiment with dog paddling without it (briefly), much as she loves wearing it. A wonderful confidence boost, and, apparently, a great deal of fun to wear. Seems to float her just right, without interfering much with the swimming or general splashing about.
Easy to put on, well made, and a relatively low dork factor -- we look a little cooler than the tots strapped into full-on life jackets. All in all, a wonderful product."

"I saw the great reviews on this and decided I had to buy this for my 21 month old daughter. I was worried because she is only 24lbs and it says 30lbs is the starting weight.
So I had her in the pool and held her for dear life thinking she wouldn't be supported well enough. After awhile I built up the courage to let go. Oh my goodness!!! my little girl was swimming all by herself! Her head was completely above water even when she would turn around.
She laughed and smiled the whole time, and mommy and daddy actually got to swim a bit without holding her the whole time!
Unlike her life jacket, she is completely comfortable, is not squished and can move freely. She actually asks to wear it around the house!
The only complaint I have is now from the time she wakes up until bedtime all I hear is "swim! swim! swim!" ... Not that I mind! Seeing her this happy is just amazing. She used to sit at the stairs now she is swimming from one end of the pool to the other.
I HIGHLY recommend this to every parent."

"This is the best swim aid on the market. We had used pfds (life jackets) in the pool and they just kept flipping the boys or riding high near their chins (all things they should do for boating)...got these puddle jumpers for a family get together last year and EVERY child that used one was swimming comfortably by themselves and did not have to be held (even kids that were not big on swimming were loving them by the end)...it was so great to swim with the kids for a change instead of holding them constantly. Brilliant invdention!"

"WOW I'm pretty impressed with this swim aid. My 22lbs girl likes to think she can swim on her own and refuses to let us hold her in the water, and since getting this aid she is actually able to be in the water with us (within arms reach) on her own. She has all the freedom she needs to move her arms and legs. She's a bit on the skinny side and weight and I was worried because it says from 30lbs and up, but it fit fine and the buckle is still nice and tight.
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a swim aid for their kids. Also it keeps their head over the water at all times."

"I am a parent who spends a great deal of time around the water with my kids. This is hands down the best swim aid I have found so far. My 22 month old daught first tried her "ladybug" and swam like a champ immediately. It gives her the confidence to swim on her front, back and she even does circles. We just returned back from the carribean and I had numerous parents asking me where they could find this device because of the way she swam in the pool with such confidence - all by herself. She even held her own in a lazy river at ther resort. I feel secure with her in her "lady bug" as I know there is no way she will be put face down like she is with her PDF."

Best swim aid for toddlers

"I avoided the pool in our condo because taking my 20 month old and my 3.5 year old sons was a nightmare. Again this year I struggled to find a combination that would work with my youngest. We tried a life jacket but I could never let go, we tried floaties with a chest swim aid but he didn't have enough control to keep his head up enough. I thought I'd give these Puddle Jumpers a try- we've now been to the pool the past 5 days in a row!! My son wouldn't let go of me the first day, he let go a bit the 2nd day, the 3rd day he was mad if I'd try to hold his hands and yesterday he jumped in with his whole head going under and was not upset about it!! This is an amazing product, I wish I'd bought it the first time I saw it in the store and wondered if it would work, we'd have gotten in an extra month of swimming this summer! I'm excited at least to use it right away with my next child as soon as he's ready knowing how well it does the job."

"Used the puddle jumper for the 1st time yesterday and love it! I have a 14 month old who absolutely loves the water. She wanted to go on her own but for obvious reasons we had to hold on to her. Life jackets flip her on her back because they are too bouyant. Water wings were too big and any other floatation suit or belt we tried just didn't work - most were too big for her or didn't provide enough stability for her to float upright.
My daughter is 26 lbs but very tall and lean, so we wondered if it would be way too big on her. She's actually under the weight limit (30 lbs) but we tried it on her in the store and it seemed to fit okay. Another plus was that she didn't fight us when putting it on her - like she does with a life jacket. Although it is a little big on her, it's still useable in the water. She was able to keep herself upright or on her tummy with no problem. Because she's only 14 months, she couldn't figure out how to get herself upright when she got on her back.....but then again, we've only used it once.
She loves being able to float on her own and my husband and I enjoyed being able to swim around with her without holding her. I absolutely recommend this product to anyone who has a child who loves the water like mine or has a child who is afraid of the water."

"My daughter who is 3 could not get comfortable in the water and life jackets from experience are only good if your confident in the water or know basic swimming. The puddle jumper is excellent because all the floatation material is at the front and arms. It keeps her face out of the water and keeps her completely vertical. Was designed well with sturdy material. Now she leaps into the water and can't wait to go swimming. I'm a very pleased mom!"
