A conoe that will last years

Date:May 9, 2013
"We bought this late last summer on sale to use on the lake.
We will have this out on the lake lots this coming summer and look forward to testing it out alone and full with 3 people.
I will review more about the performance at a later date but I am sure it will work just fine from reading all other reviews.

Great Family canoe!!!

Date:August 26, 2012
"The canoe is light weight for its size, has good durability, and is comfortable for a mid performance canoe.
It is perfect for our small family, and as it grows!

"this is a great canoe! great for a family who likes to spend time on the lake. The only downside is that is has no yoke which makes long portages a pain."

everything I hoped for, and more!

Date:August 15, 2012
"A few years ago my family sold our boat, and we were all loosing our passion for being on the water and fishing. So we decided to invest in a canoe, and we saw this one and instantly liked it. Now once or twice a week we take this canoe to different rivers and lakes. The canoe is extremely balanced, there is no worry of tipping, it is light to travel with, and is easy to paddle in. If you are looking for a canoe to spend some family time in, with no worries, this is the one for you."

Good fun, this one is!

Date:August 13, 2012
"I purchased this canoe last week and tried it this weekend. I am very impressed at this point in time. I am new to canoeing, so this may actually be a bad one. But our entire family (4 of us) genuinely enjoyed this canoe!"

awsome canoe

Date:May 26, 2011
"I have not been in or on a canoe for almost 30 years and have really wanted one for the last 10, We are 4 in total, although we have only been 3 at a time, I found we or I had no problem handling it, paddling was easy, steering was easy, and I never felt like it was going to tip, also as two adults on each end I never felt threatend it would tip, so far so good, a dream come true!"

Best Possible Boat One Could Buy

Date:August 5, 2010
"The Pelican will get you through the weeds, shallow water - 2-3 inches deep is all you will need...finally, get to that waterfall you couldn't see unless you parked near by...or getting to where you know that big fish is hiding...fantastic boat."

great canoe

Date:May 30, 2010
"We bought this canoe on sale a year ago. It's a great canoe for the price. It's sturdy and steady in the water. The centre seat is great for canoeing with the kids. My brother-in-law has been borrowing it on a constant basis (at least twice a week spring, summer, fall) to go fishing, and it's handling the abuse very well."

"Yes great canoe. I made a hardwood motor mount for a small trolling motor which works great. This canoe is a bit large for the by yourselfers but got all the space if needed. Wait for the annual on sale..."

Best value

Date:January 20, 2010
"I've had one of these for 2 years now without any problems at all. It still works like the day i bought it. I use it to go fishing, we put three adults with fishing gear in it all the time. It is the most stable canoe i have ever been fishing in. Perfect for the family or for fisherman to go spend the day on the water."

Good Boat for What You Are Buying

Date:January 16, 2010
"As our family is growing up, we could not all fit in our plastic Coleman canoe anymore, so it was time to get another boat. We bought more for pracitcality and price than expecting a finely-crafted vessel. These boats can take a lot of abuse, so I don't worry about the kids scratching the bottom on rocks. Our version has the "cooler" style of middle seat; this is handy for storing things, but it is a little uncomfortable to sit on. Also, the front seat is a bit too far forward which makes the canoe a little unstable on the river. I may move this back about a foot and a half by making a spacer for the wider thwarts at this point. All said though, you can't get yourself into a decent, durable canoe for less money than this one!"

Great for the family

Date:May 6, 2009
"We have two kids and haul a lunch and two small dogs with all of us. And all the junk to go with them. Wait for it to go on sale, that is what we did, well worth the money, sturdy even on windy days. Only thing is we are having trouble finding the motor mount for it as we want to get a small 2-3 hp motor, not sure what that is in pounds? ANyone know? ANyways other then that it is great, light for my 12 yr old son and I to carry makes going to the lake, even better."

A Great Canoe

Date:September 22, 2008
"I bought this canoe for my boyfriend for his birthday. We've been using it all summer, and I have to say we've really enjoyed it. Although I wouldn't want to do a portage with this canoe because of its weight, it was no problem for the two of us to get it off the roof of our minivan and into the water. It's very stable in the water and glided easily through a weedy marsh on a Northern Ontario lake. It's a great family canoe as that middle seat will hold a couple of small kids and lunch and drinks in the cooler!"

summer fun

Date:September 10, 2008
"This light weight canoe made our summer. We were able to put her right inside the camper for travelling and easily got her out upon arrival. Despite our physical limitations (bad back and cancer fatigue) we found this canoe to be a gem. Solid yet light and trust worthy on the water. Some good fish suppers thanks to this little gem. Affordable too."
