Excellent for Hauling Kayak Camping Gear

Date:July 3, 2013
"This boat is compact, light, durable and is perfect for hauling gear behind our kayak. Kayaks are notoriously lacking in storage space. In order to comfortably bring camping gear to water access only campsites in the Kawarthas and Massasauga Provincial Parks, we decided to try this dinghy. It is perfect!! It is rated to hold over 400 lbs and easily carted 4 bags of gear behind the kayak on a 2+ hour paddle. Portaging is the same as it would be without it. You have to unload the gear, portage and load it up again. It easily allows us to bring a screen house along with other luxuries which normally would not fit in with kayak camping. Now it is really glamping on beautiful lakeside water sites with this fantastic, easy to inflate/deflate dinghy being used as a hauler. Once your camp is set-up, you can head off unencumbered in your kayak to explore. Also, the solar square hanging lantern is light/compact and perfect for camping."

Boat's okay but the oars are trash

Date:September 7, 2011
"I was on my way to a local outdoor store to buy a much more expensive inflatable kayak when I saw this item on sale while at CT, and it included the oars, so I bought it immediately.
I knew I wasn't buying a Cadillac, however I did hope that it would hold up to the rough and tumble play of our 12 year old. The boat is great and seems to be well constructed, however the oars which screw together with the help of a coupler, are weak. So weak in fact that my 12 yr old while making the oars, split the undersized plastic coupler. I've since reinforced the oars by taking them apart and placing two (cut off) old ski poles inside and re-assembling them. I won't try to cross Lake Ontario in it, but it is worth a good laugh and the $30 I paid for it. If you opt for this model, beef up the oars before taking it on the water.

good value

Date:August 12, 2011
"we bought a couple of these to round out our floatilla of cottage toys. We have a couple other inflatable boats we'd puchased from CT but these are the best. They have lower sides making them easy to get in and out of when going for a quick swim. They also have a larger air valve making them faster to pump up. We have a foot pump with adapter that will fit this size valve so we were OK but you may have to buy a special adapter. There's also a trick to filling them and keeping all the air from leaking out, you have to push in the valve to lock the valve and prevent leakage. These dinghy's are well made and good value, it will cost you the same amount to buy oars without the dinghy if you bought them separately. Enjoy!"

Just bought this

Date:August 14, 2010
"I just went and bought this boat this morning, had a nice surprise as it was on sale for $29.99 I also bought battery pump to inflate it.
Got home, took out my fishing gear and went to the river. I had a blast.
The oars are nothing to write home about but they get the job done, I gave a 5 star rating for durability simply because it didn't leak on me and the PVC does seem rather well made.
If you are going to buy this and I do think you should... get a anchor of some kind, I ended up pretty far from where I started and decided to walk back instead of rowing back :)
Also better oars will help. But there is plenty of room for 2 people and fishing gear, just ummm be careful with the hooks :)

Good raft for kids

Date:July 27, 2010
"We bought this because it included the oars, when I went to the store to purchase the raft it was on sale for $29.97. An excellent deal, but it sprung a leak the first time we used it, can't find the leak but it loses air slowly so we are okay. Had to buy an adapter for $5.00 to inflate it with our Airman compressor."
