Can't camp without this
Date:May 17, 2013
"It's a given you need a coleman lantern for camping, brighter than any other lantern. Good to use on top of the propane distribution tree"

Very Bright
Date:September 4, 2012
"This lantern is awesome ! It is very bright and very easy to use. Only thing this lantern is a match light, but with the difference you save from this lantern to the lantern that lights itself you could buy enough matches to last a lifetime. You will love it !"

Product that will allow you to stay out late!
Date:October 16, 2010
"I bought this item this summer cause it was highly recommended from my co-worker who does a lot of camping. Just like he said, it was the best light source. It allowed us to stay around our camp fire till 2am. It was my first time camping and I was the savour of our trip. It lights up surfaces about 600 sq feet. My friends brought battery operated light source that didn't even like up a size of wash room. But obviously, you'll need those for outhouses (headlamps are best, think of things you'll need two hands for) or tent (i find L.E.D. dome lights are best). It was the best buy ever! I got this for 30% off when Canadian Tire did a sale cause it's quite expensive. I was eyeing it for awhile till there was a sale. After our trip, my guy friends all bought one before sale ended. Don't waste your money on the compact Coleman, it's not that bright cause one of my guy friends had it."

Unbelievably Bright
Date:January 12, 2010
"Have had one of these for almost 10 years. Mine has the spark ignition which is highly recommended. It will keep you from burning your fingers when you try to light it. Although incredibly bright, you can turn it down and save on fuel. A propane cylinder will last 30 or more hours if you turn down the brightness. Advantage of a light that uses a flame over one that uses an electric bulb is that bugs don't get attracted to a flame nearly as much. You can also hang it from a nearby tree so the bugs get drawn away from your campsite. Great investment!"

"I was tired of using flash lights when camping. This is a fantastic lantern for its price point. A necessity for all campers."

Great camping light
Date:March 26, 2008
"I got one of these and plan to put it on my Coleman propane distribution tree which also hooks up to my Coleman portable BBQ and Coleman Hot water on Demand system.
This has a two mantle burner and I've seen them give off a lot of light.
It can work off of a disposable canister too, but I prefer the refillable 20 pounder with adapter hose.
Very nice lantern."

Just WOW!
Date:September 3, 2007
"Purchased this with the $10 off $40 coupon, and item was already on sale from $49.99 to $39.99, which then brought it down to $29.99.
This is incredibly bright... it seems to be as bright as an incandescent 100W light. Saving for next summer's camping trips."
