Another Good Product Made by Coleman
Date:August 20, 2011
"I was pleased with this grill when I used it for the first time. I had lined the bottom with foil like someone else had suggested in their review for easy clean up and it worked great. No complaints or issues with it at all. Would recommend it to my family and friends."

Newer Version went Cheap
Date:August 20, 2011
"I purchased this near the beginning of the season and noticed that they were available in two different boxes. One was the one pictured, with the blue lid, and one was the same, but with a black lid. The black version, it turns out, is the "new" model.
I chose the "new" model, thinking newer should be better, right? It turns out it isn't. After two uses, the stamped aluminum grill warped. After a third use, soot was being continuously deposited on the burner.
I went to another Canadian Tire where they still had the 'old' model on display. The grill on the old one, which probably garnered all great reviews, was much heavier duty - cast iron, thick, and durable looking.
Sadly, when I returned the defective grill to Canadian Tire, there were none of this 'old' model left. So I opted to get my money back.
Stay away!"

Good brand name, Poor Quality.
Date:June 8, 2010
"Recently purchased this for camping. Not the best thing I have ever bought from Coleman. Very flimsy stamped steel construction, Grill fits in to base "sloppy" is the best word I can use. The finish on it looks real good and has had help up well. Cooks well, heats evenly across the grill. Would have been nicer if you could have had a lid to close while cooking. Overall it's not to bad."

You Won't Regret This Purchase!
Date:March 16, 2010
"I used to haul my big bulky BBQ out camping every year until I bought this little gem! Man o man does this grill ever pour out the heat(even on the low setting)! I can't say enough good things about this product! You'll never need to run it on the 'High' setting as it pours out more than enough heat on the 'Low' setting.I've cooked steak, ribs, burgers, pork chops, sausages, etc on this grill with the setting always on 'Low' and it always did a fantastic job! One propane tank will last me approx. 3-5 uses(cooking for 2 people)depending on what I'm cooking. One suggestion though, line the bottom of the grill with some tin foil in order to make cleaning easier. You will not regret buying this grill!"

couldn't be better
Date:January 5, 2010
"I love my grill. We aren't big on camp fires and don't much like frying in the trailer, so this stove is the best for us. I hated having to haul out pots and pans to cook and now we do everything on the grill. Fantastic Thank you for this."

Excellent value!
Date:July 29, 2009
"We bought this grill last minute on our way out to camping. We were tired of buying and tossing the cheapo table top grills every year. Since it rained often and made cooking on the campfire difficult, we used this grill just about every day while camping recently. It was terrific! Lit on the first try every time. Cleaned so easily! Even the grease trap was easily cleaned. Grill got nice and hot right away without having to crank the dial. Handy lip at the back of the grill to keep food from rolling or sliding off when trying to flip burgers or chicken. We had a bear in our camp and even through our site, and so were forced to keep our grill in our truck and only bring it out to use it. While we expected this to be a daunting task, it was so easy as the grill just closes up and is very lightweight. We are thrilled with our purchase and not even deterred by the fact that we payed full price rather buying on sale! Definitely a great value!"

Grilled to Perfection
Date:July 12, 2009
"Ok, I always hear about cost, about how one brand is better than another, the best color, etc. Well just to let everyone know out there, this has all of it (not that I'm saying blue is my fave, but hear me out).
I had to move to another city with my wife and kids to go to school, and I gave up one of my most memorable pride and joy's...my BBQ. Every man needs a grill. So after 6 months of microwaves, stove tops, ovens, and cold cut meals...I wanted something flame licked. So I stepped out to the ol' Can tire, and found myself this beauty.
This has no "cold spots" or hot spots" on the grill surface. It all cooks evenly. The heat setting for my first batch of burgers never exceeded medium, and nearing the end, the grill was so hot I had to turn it down a little. Not bad for a tabletop runt. It also held 6 large patties with room to spare.
The size of it fits well in my new townhouse, which is 1/4 the size of my old place. And I don't need a truck to bring it over to a family friend's backyard bash either.
The price point was amazing. I was able to pick it up at the time for $60. My old BBQ cost me $350, and this still cooks the meat in the same time. Not bad huh?
Finally...the color, yes its blue, but the fact is that it is not black, or stainless steel. It's an eye catcher, its Coleman, and will astound any friend or relative that sees you behind it with the mighty burger flipper."

The grill top is BBQ quality.
Date:September 11, 2008
"I agree with all reviewers that this is a pretty fast heating, user-friendly unit. Low heat setting is usually enough for almost anything.
The cook surface was the buying point for me. Other similar stoves have grills with Teflon-like coatings sprayed over aluminum, which I would never buy for a grill, much less a BBQ. However, this one has a super tough BBQ grade cast iron grill, with a nice thick enamel fiinsh. The only thing missing is a lid.
Problem solved! Check out these 8" glass cake dishes (#42-1104-8). Two of these side by side and upside down on the cook surface provide awesome heat retention for cooking chicken and steak. Just watch out, they're gonna get really hot. But the bonus is after you're done cooking, you now have two hot serving vessels to keep your food hot in.
I use this grill in tamdem with my BBQ for mass production of hotdogs and bugrers when tons of people come over."

Nice Product
Date:June 4, 2008
"I would agree with all of the other positive reviews on this product. Easy to set-up, fire bans are not longer a problem. The only item I would have liked to see as a standard item would been an electronic ignition control. This would add to the cost of the unit, but a worthwhile addition."

Quick and Easy Grill
Date:May 30, 2008
"We recently bought this grill to take camping. Sometimes you just don't want to have to prep that campfire to cook up a few burgers or dogs or even steaks. This little grill works fantastic! ...and can especially be appreciated when you have kids that are 'starving' and can't wait for campfire ideal coals to cook over. In BC there are often campfire bans due to hot weather and forest fire risk - the tabletop grill will always come camping with us!
Fuel: We hook ours up to a large propane tank while camping using the coleman 5 foot extension that has the small propane cylinder adapter on one end and the regular adapter for the large tanks on the other. I can see us easily taking this to other functions such as a family day trip to the beach and using the small propane cylinders too though.
Cooking: The heat this thing gives off is pretty impressive. No need to crank it up on 'high' to get results! The grate is nice and heavy and distributes the heat very well. There is a drip pan underneath the grill to catch spills. It is made of plastic and hasn't been an issue, though I wish it wash metal.
Cleaning: I lined the inside of the grill with tin foil, but it still ended up a bit soiled after the last trip. I was really surprised at how well it cleaned up with just a dishclothe, no scrubbing required! The grill can be cleaned off by letting it warm up, and then using a bbq glove, take cheap kitchen scrubby (the plastic type, flat, come in a pack, used on teflon fry pans etc.) and saturate the scrubby in water and using quick motions scrub along the grill, re-wetting the scrubby every few strokes. The scrubby most likely will need to be discarded afterwards. We were told to use this method on our regular BBQ that has a porcelain grate, works well.
I also have just taken the grate after an outing, and put it in my oven and used the 'self-clean' function. Comes out as clean as the day we bought it.
Storage: I haven't seen a bag for this yet, but I would like one. I may end up using a soft sided cooler, or sew something up.
This grill is AWESOME."

Great for quick cook-ups!
Date:May 16, 2008
"We find it useful where a regular sized is just too much to cook up one package of hot dogs or when cooking just for one. We bought ours a year ago and it still works great; cooks quickly and the side flaps come in really handy for both wind gusts and for leaving cooking tools on. The portability makes it a perfect choice for picnics or bringing over to a party just as an extra cooking surface for vegetarians who don't want any meats to touch their food."

No more hibachis for me
Date:October 6, 2007
"We bought this especially for use at a picnic for burgers and hot dogs. Even though the single cooking elements is in the centre, it cooked evenly and did the job great. The only thing is that the lid is crooked, but the handle latches closed and hasn't caused any problems so far; we'll probably buy a carry case for it just in case. Will be part of our summer picnic outings from now on, much easier and cleaner than fiddling with hibachis, and much better cooking space and surface than those tiny portable barbeques with the wire "grilltop"."
