For $400, good deal

Date:March 29, 2013
"I had one delivered and when I opened the box, the whole top panel had cracked. must have been dropped off a truck. The steel ain't exactly bullet proof thick that's for sure.
It was replaced however and other than a tiny bit of chipped paint it was flawless.
Takeaways:
1) Solid combo lock mechanism and latch.
2) Flush door panel (on mine anyways) with solid 3 lock points.
3) Good interior space
4) The carpet is thick and there is good coverage but the installation was ghetto.
5) Top shelf could be longer but fit beautifully and gets the job done.
6) Plastic door shelves are good and the added key hangers a plus.
It's $400. For that its a great safe. I could have spent 8 or even a grand and gotten a fire proof behemoth but this safe is light enough to make it easy to move for install and when full, heavy enough to not have to worry. Ready to be anchored into the floor or wall if need be.
More of a solid filing cabinet with a combo lock lol.
Would recommend."

Good value

Date:August 29, 2012
"Picked this up on sale. Pretty good value at that price point. I probably wouldn't bother at full price, just wait until it goes on sale, it will eventually.
The construction is decent, I feel better having it over a flimsy tin foil cabinet but it ain't exactly Ft. Knox either.
The mounting hardware is kind of hokey. They drywall anchors are pointless so if you need to anchor into drywall somewhere, you will want to get something else. The combination isn't exactly precise either. You can be a few ticks off and it still opens for you."

Decent Security Safe for Firearms if on Sale

Date:October 1, 2011
"For $399 an excellent first gun safe for anyone.
At the reg. $699 not worth it.
Fairly thin metal. Wouldn't take long to cut through the side but it'd sure make a lot of noise to do it quickly."

Good Unit

"Seems like a well made unit. Won't know how good it really is until an actual break-in occurs(Hopefully never)"
