"Actually, it is fine to store ammo with your guns so long as they are in a locked container (and this item is a locked container). The gun can't be loaded, but can have a loaded magazine or quick loader sitting beside it."

Bought two of them

"This is a good cabinet for keeping my handguns and can keep up to 8 large handguns (Pistol and Revolver quite easily) but as far as the law goes in Canada, it is illegal to keep your ammuntion with the guns (opposite to what the picture shows), so I had to get another cabinet to hold the ammo. I also got trigger locks from Canadian Tire at a fair price."

Just got mine

"I brought one of these home last night and mounted it on my 8 gun cabinet in all of 10 minutes.
I like it. I can store tons of ammo, paper work and assorted odds and ends which is exactly why I bought it.
This product is the perfect companion to the entry level StackOn cabinets."

"If you have a stack on 8 or 10 gun cabinet this is a must have to keep your pistols or ammo depending on what you own separate.
The also work great to mount anywhere u have the spot to lock up what your looking to keep safe."

Solid Little Box

"The "sheet metal" isn't flimsy like another reviewer suggested. It's fairly heavy gauge, and wouldn't easily be compromised without serious effort, time, and tools. The danger with this is that someone could pry it from the floor and wall using a crowbar and carry out the cabinet intact. As it comes, you're only securing it at 4 points with screws (2 in floor, and 2 in wall).
For extra peace of mind, I drilled 4 more holes in the bottom and used extra large/long screws so that it could be bolted to the floor joists at 6 different points, plus the 2 already provided for the wall.
Recommended, because it's a great product for the price once it's properly secured."

good for the price

"I bought this after buying the 14 gun metal cabinet of the same design. It will nicely hold my ammo, clips, paperwork and handgun when the time comes. Bolted easily to the bottom cabinet. However mine did not have the hardware for the shelf. But I bought it on sale and didnt mind a trip back to the store for some bolts."

Nice little box

"The box will be a good purchase for anyone who would like to lock up gun parts.Locking up a gun would be alright if it was properly secured to the wall or floor. It should slow down a theif long enough to be a deterrent.You would need time ,tools and make a lot of noise to get in to it.I still prefer a fire safe for fire arms but this will do if not just to keep people from storing guns in there closets."

Perfect handgun box

"This box meets the standards that the law says. I dont know why the last person said he would never put his guns in it. its a solid box with a fully welded hinge and a hugh locking bolt. I keep all my ammo and my .357 inside as well my gun powder primers. purchased this in 100% CT money also. I love this box, mines full already so might need another one soon"

Good storage, not for firearms though

"This is a good little security cabinet. I have one where I store miscellaneous firearm parts. I would never store my firearms in this model though. It is basically bent sheet metal, similar to the other "stack-on" models. It fulfills the CFC requirements for firearm storage, but you can get much better for not much more money. Get yourself a safe for your guns. this will keep little kids out, not much more."

"With the handgun regulations we have here in Canada, this handgun cabinet is what you need. Fits all my handguns and I've bolted it to the wall in my workshop. also put a good lock on the door.
Very sturdy construction and I would think it would be very hard to break open. I now feel safer with this product and really expected to pay more for this type of security. A must have for any handgun owner."
