Good for a budget buyer

"I am a student and I have purchased this bike for my wife so that we both could ride during summer break.
Its price point $99.9 is ideal for a student or budget buyers who can't afford expensive bikes.
This bike is heavier than other bikes, It has a steel frame which looks strong and durable. I have found this in Pink color which is great for my wife. It runs perfect off road and in dirt.
It is a good purchase BUT:
- Gear shifting is cranky, not precise, chain usually rubs with front deureller and make sound. I can handle this with a bit of tricky shifting but my wife can't.
- Breaks are not excellent, they are good but it is hard to find an ideal configuration i.e. either too tight or too loose.
- Rear wheel isn't free, hub, rear deureller or free wheel is presenting some resistance to rotation of the wheel. I have tested it several times by rotating it with my hand. It stops much sooner than my Supercycle (Tempo)
Even after these minor problems, I recommend this bike to everyone who has bike's basic knowledge, has limited budget and is not particular about quality"

"Well, at $100 you can't go wrong. Pretty good performance ...rides better than my $360 CCM bike. If you want a simple and inexpensive bike for getting around in the city, this is it."

"I just purchased this bike for myself. It is very durable and sturdy. It looks great too. I must admit, the seat is a little too firm...for those of you who have not riden in awhile (like me) you might want a softer seat. Other than that...great buy!"

"I should have known better, that a bike that cheap would actually be ok. I guess you do get what you pay for which is not very much. The brakes stick and in one ride my chain fell off 4 TIMES, while changing gears. the shifting is very cluncky and not smooth at all. DO NOT BUY THIS BIKE"

"This is a good, quality mountain bike. It does the job and is at a great price. I do not go any any crazy biking trips or do anything crazy, so it's hard for me to say how well it would handle in extreme conditions. I can tell you that it is a great beginners bike, or for anybody who rides every once in a while."

Excellent Purchase

"Bought this bike 2 years ago when it was on special sale. Dressed it up a bit with fenders, a back rack, a more comfortable saddle, upgraded the brakes and shifters. I LOVE this bike: It's never let me down, be it on the road or on the trail. It's got some mileage on it by now (probably close to 4,000 km), it regularily carries groceries (average weight 10 to 20 lbs), a well-stocked picnic cooler during the summer months and other loads, and with a little good maintenance and care it remained as good as the week I bought it. A truly amazing buy - hard to believe how much of a bike and quality one can get for a more than reasonable price .... this bike truly deserves to be called "Supercycle"!"

"I've had this bike for 2 years now,,drive it thru rain and snow,, I spend alot of time on the country trails,, and it's held up great. I'm sure there's 5000 kms on it, and still goin."

"Our daughter has grown quite a bit lately and really just wanted a basic bike that would suit her added height. This bike was a great purchase! It is a great value for what you get. I would encourage anyone looking for a basic bike that will not break the bank, or likely get stolen in 10 seconds flat, to take a good look at this bicycle."

Awesome Bike!

"I bought one of these bikes in 2002. I didn't have ANY problems with it at all. The only reason I had to get rid of it was because the chain got wedged between the gear and the hub and snapped. Chalk it up to my own stupidity. Best bike I've ever owned! I will definitely buy another as soon as I can!"
