"I purchased this pump Jan 2013 to pull the water from beneath the ice in my pond. Right out of the box it worked perfectly. I started with a 1/2 inch garden hose, but will be using a 5/8 or 3/4 to make it quicker.
This pump is a 1/6 hp and is $20 cheaper than the 1/4 hp name brand...and the gph's are faster on the 1/6 hp. Good buy"

Rain barrel pump
Date:June 19, 2012
"I bought this pump to move rain water from rain barrels. Its perfect. At 1/6 hp don't expect a lot of pressure but it still pumps great with a garden hose or even better a 1.5" discharge line. I use the pump on a 1.5" line and it fills my 12L watering can in about 4 seconds."

Works Great
Date:April 11, 2012
"I used this pump to perform a maintenance flush on my tankless hot water heater. I ran 6L of vinegar through the tank for an hour.
Only niggly little issue I noticed was a bit of leakage around plastic hose adapter where it meets the larger thread. But I found afterwards I didn't tighten down properly and perhaps a little plumbers tape would've sealed it fine.
Otherwise it works fantastic."

Exceeds All Expectations!
Date:June 6, 2011
"I bought this pump for transfering rain water from a 400L rain barrel to another rain barrel, using a 100' garden hose on a very steep incline it filled a 205L barrel in 10mins. Then I used it to water my lawn w/a 80' garden hose w/a watering wand attachment. This is the only submersable pump on the market that you can attach a regular garden hose to, I went searching to every big box store so I know. It is perfect for those of us that believe in water conservation thru rain barrels. I haven't turned on my externial water supply in the 2 1/2 years I have owned this pump. My veggie garden, flowerbeds, lawns etc have never looked so good since I changed to rain water for all my outdoor watering needs, thanks to this pump I can water everything really fast, no need for watering cans I just put the pump into the rain barrel."
