Handy Folding Dolly

Date:March 17, 2012
"We've used this for a move and other jobs. It is very good for moving small appliances, boxes, wardrobes, dressers, etc. It even moved our apartment sized upright freezer with no problem. Unfortunately the lock for keeping the handle raised lets go sometimes, but you just pull it back up when needed. When you can get this on sale for $23.99, it is a great deal. It folds and stores in a very small space and is very light weight aluminum."

STAY AWAY FROM SMALL PLATFORM UNITS-2 styles ! ! !

Date:February 3, 2012
"I bought one and didnt realize they used to come with a larger platform. I would recommend looking for that larger size as you will find your load wont fall off when tilting back as it can with a smaller platform.."

"Bought this to replace the heavier, not so compact CDN Tire cart I've for a thousand years. Gave the old one to the Garden Committee since it's still in great shape. Storage in both car and apartment excellent, folds flat. Very easy to set up - handle comes up with no problem. Lots of spots to place bungie cords. Big platform, but obviously not for huge things. Good buy even at the non-sale price. Lots of interested comments from my neighbours - I recommend it."

good compact dolly, but not for heavy use

Date:November 30, 2010
"got this one for light duty, like wheeling luggage to the car or storage boxes from one part of the house to the other, but don't expect this to wheel your fridge out of the house.
I like the fact that the wheels are foldable, making storage that much more better.
Extremely light weight for smaller folks to use as well. Much more durable than I expected, but did seem to flex under moderate to heavy loading, I thought I was going to break it. Still, it can handle most household duties, but definitely not for appliances or huge bulky items."

Original was Awesome. New Platform is too Small.

Date:October 31, 2009
"I have 3 of these. 2 are the original design. 1 is the new design. The difference is in the usable size of the platform. This is the place where you place the boxes when you are moving them.
Original Size: 19" x 12.25"
New Size 19" x 8.75"
The 12.25" vs 8.75" might seem subtle but actually makes a huge difference: When you put a box wider than about 17" on the narrow platform, it tips over and off of the hand truck when you tilt the hand truck back. With the original, wide platform, this only happened on boxes 24" or larger.
It turns out that most boxes I move are between 17" and 24" wide which means that the original version works awesome and the new one is a real pain to use.
If you can find an original one with the wide platform I highly recommend it, but pass on the narrow platform."

Very compact. Got the job done

Date:May 31, 2009
"I've had my eye on a cart like this for a bit. There are similar carts with smaller wheels, but I wanted one that could traverse stairs (even though they don't recommend it for that). This unit has 7" wheels which was just enough for the stairs.
I looked at some similar models. I liked how this one has a single frame pc for the flared bottom (back portion) instead of a build up of riveted parts. It doesn't have the "auto closing" link that some others have, but that was not a concern to me. The bottom plate is a bit larger than some other models as well.
I've used it once to move a 30" CRT TV @ 115 lbs. It did the job well but I was a little concerned about how much the wheels toed in under load. The wheels are geared to the bottom plate, so they cannot fold in if the plate is down, but there is some give. I rigged up a little brace between the wheels for the second part of the move and that worked very well. I don't know if any other models would be better. One I looked at had the exact same gearing construction, so probably no different.
All in all, very handy, light weight, compact and well made. Recommended."

"I love how this folds up and fits in the trunk compared to my other dolly with the fixed wheels. I also like the large diameter wheels that roll smoothly."

wouldn't be without

Date:April 13, 2008
"I drive a compact car for work and travel from customer to customer. This hand truck stores neatly in my trunk and is never in the way. I've had to carry boxes so many times and this little thing does a big, big job. It is sturdy and strong and stable and never lets me down. Everyone at work is envious when they're struggling with boxes, making three trips to my one. I love this cart."

I keep mine in my trunk 24/7

Date:August 17, 2007
"This dolly is SUPER useful. It folds away so slim and low, that I keep it in my trunk, and it doesn't take up any trunk space at all.
Pretty strong, it's rated up to 200lbs. I carried at least 230lbs of fire wood the other day, and it still didn't hick-up. Material quality is superb.
I picked up mine at 1/2 off, wait till it goes on sale for $39.99 (which is quite frequently)."
