5 Minutes usage time before it broke

Date:April 20, 2011
"I bought this rake last week, brought it home and began to rake a small portion of my regular lawn. Simply wanted to rake up some leftover leaves and sand from the winter. 5 minutes into it I began to hear a clicking noice. I peeled back the plastic label to reveal that the area around where the handle met the platstic head had several cracks.
I expected much more from a 25 year warrantied product.
I was able to exchange and bought a Yardworks fiberglass and metal model for $3 cheaper and it certainly seems like it will last me for a very long time.
I hope the Fiskars reel mower I have on order will perform better than this rake did.

love this rake!

Date:April 15, 2011
"bought it last fall & was somewhat skeptical as i found it a bit odd looking & it seemed bulky but oh was i wrong . . .
looks big & awkard to use but it isn't. sure, the handle is longer than you might expect but that makes it easier to extend it in under some of the trees you don't want to get under anyway (cedars). we've got a huge oak tree in the back yard, a big maple in the front, lots of big cedars plus other small & medium sized trees. it rakes up the leaves easily & bagging them isn't a problem either. it's not too heavy & even gets most of the acorns (including the broken ones) in 2-3 good sweeps. you can usually gather up more leaves in the rake than you can handle but that also makes it easier to build those large autumn piles for the kids (& dog) to jump in!
in my opinion, the only better product would be a yard vacuum with a power nozzle & i'm waiting for someone to invent one of those!
love this rake & would buy it again!"

Very good rack, if a little expensive

Date:November 24, 2010
"We have lots of trees in the back yard so raking is a big chore every fall and it has survived three years of hard use. It will clear up leaves and pine needles without clogging and it pulls out very little grass and mulch. You will still need a metal leaf rake for lifting hefty loads of wet leaves into a bag because the plastic flexes too much for this job. Several tines have broken off after three years and some are showing the stress marks that precede a tine breaking off. The orange Fiskars sleeve is starting to slide off the handle and it is impossible to slide back into place, so we clipped it. Still, this rake will work well for you and give you several years of service before needing replacement. Canadian Tire sometimes sells these racks with discounts that are better than any of the big box home stores."

Best one ever owned

Date:November 21, 2009
"This rake is wide and rakes leaves at ease.
It does not clog and usually the first sweep will be sufficient enough for a leafless lawn.
I have a red maple tree and a few cedar trees and this rake works like a charm.
I know as I put it to a vigorous test this stormy fall…..
