Works well - Until it Breaks

"As many others have stated, this item works well. There are two things that you may wish to know: first off it makes fairly large "golf ball sized" holes where the weed once was; the other is that at the hinge this tool has a weak plastic hinge which once broken, the handle seperates from the mechanics at the bottom. The good news to this is that it has a 25 year warranty so the only downside to this is that you may get to know the people at the customer service counter by name."

"This Fiskars stand-up weeder is a fabulous invention. My stand-up weeder never lets me down. People stand around and watch me terminate the weeds. It's great, I don't know what I ever did without it. This is one of the best purchases I have ever made for my yard. In a time when it's become so bad to use pesticides, I can still have a weed free lawn with the Fiskars stand-up weeder."

"I used to hire a company to organicly spray my lawn for weeds. Now the whole family fights over getting their turn weeding with the Fiskars Stand-up Weeder. Once the weeds are gone, their gone. This is my second year using it and I find that there are fewer this year than last."

"i had originally purchased another cheaper version of the same concept and i must say, durability wise looks wise and user friendly this product by far surpasses any other weed pullers on the market that i have tried.it is an excellent addition to yard maintanance and anyone can use it easily."

"Most of these "breakthrough" products don't live up to their hype, but this one actually works! For the most part, it lifted out the weed and most of the root.
In very sandy soil, it did sometimes just slip off and pull up nothing, and in very heavy clay (yes, I have both extremes!) it sometimes only gets a small part of the root, but in moderate soil, it seemed to get most of the root up with the plant.
It leaves holes in the lawn, but this serves as aeration, so it's a good thing!
Overall, I was impressed."
