A Great Horned Owl to keep pigeons away. Stands 16 inches high, about 7 inches wide. Flat base for setting on ground, ring for hanging. May be filled with sand or gravel for added stability

Not exactly as described

"I recently purchased one to help deter Pigeons from landing on my patio.
The stocked item is slightly different from the one described and pictured.
It does not come with a ring to attach to a cord, nor does it have a slot to fill with sand to give more weight to the object. So if you are looking to attach the owl to a pole or overhang you are going to have to improvise.
It does look more realistic than the item pictured, however it does feel as if a good wind will knock it over.
We will see how it works as deterrent."

As "Durable" as a Royal Doulton figurine!!

"Wow, it lasted all of 3 hours.
The product has changed from the image shown here and no longer has a ring for hanging. As I was thinking about how to hang the owl, it rolled off my couch (18" high) and shattered on the hardwood floor. See the result from my attached picture. The "resin" is like a poured crystal like material and the broken edges sparkle.
This is not my definition of durable and no where on the product does it say "fragile"
I think I can epoxy enough of it back together to still make it effective for keeping pigeons away. And maybe fill it with expanding foam to thoroughly support the broken shell.
If you need something that can survive being knocked over, I'd recommend an owl made from plastic or plastic resin.
I'm really disappointed, because it looked great. Better then than cartoon like product photo."

"This is a great product to hang in the yard to rid pests like pigeons. Instantly upon hanging this off the peak of my house the pigeons were gone!"
