We find it good
Date:April 4, 2008
"We use a Benzomatic self igniting torch in a kitchen environment. Our last torch a model 1500 stopped sparking and was producing a very small flame. It was difficult to turn on and close as the knob was very small.
In contrast, this unit has a larger, easier to grip control knob which is adjustable from a pencil flame to a roaring flame.
We find it does a good job and easy to use.
Only criticism for our use, is that it is tall and would be better if the nozzle was at 90 degrees to the gas tank. For plumbing, it would be fine."

Buy the next model up
Date:October 21, 2007
"I bought this thinking it was a trigger start/trigger stop - it's not.
This is basically an expensive match. You need to turn the gas on, pull the trigger to light and then you stay light. To stop the flame, you can pull the trigger again - but then the flame stops and the gas keeps flowing!
The tip is not adjustable and the tip doesn't produce a focused flame.
