"This has turned out to be a great saw. The coating on the blade reduces friction and seems to prevent rusting. I often turn to this saw when I'm away from the shop and don't want to pull out my extension cord for the circular saw; and for one or two cuts, it's just as fast!"

"I have a bunch of hand saws and decided to give this model a try. This is every bit the equivalent of the saw that Stanley produces. A very comfortable handle with a sharp, effective cutting edge. This is really one of Mastercraft's best tools."

Good handsaw, went through the 4 in branches easy

"Had to prune some trees and took others right off. Sawed off the stumps, which were about 4 inches in diameter. Very smooth, didn't catch on anything like I remember doing on my dad's old handsaw. Well worth the money I spent on it. Comfortable handle as well."

"In this world with too many power tools, using this saw reminded me that working with hand tools is fun.
The thick blade is nice for straight cuts. Cuts fast for a hand saw and you don't need to find an extension cord or recharge a battery prior to use."

"it could have a slightly finer cut. The thicker blade means less wobble, seems to help to keep the cut straight. Just bought it recently, so I don't know yet about durability."
