"All of my most trusted power tool are Makita. I have tried Dewault (default) and they are junk I have bought porter cable and they are very good but do not have the ergonomic friendliness that Makita tools have
I tried rigid and ryobi and again...just junk as for mastercraft...once in a while they come out with a good product but usually a private labeling from companies like bostich, Black and Decker, Ryobi et al
For MY money, Makita is the way to go

"Great quality circular saw. Very light and has lots of power. The blade light (not laser) really helps to see the line, more than a laser which just makes it hard to see. This is one saw that I would suggest spending a bit extra on to get the higher quality. Blade quality is very good also. Will replace in kind when it gets dull."

"Great saw! Have had many saws over the years, and I do abuse them. This saw has lasted the longest and taken a true beating!! Easy to use, light, and accurate. You can't go wrong with this one. You will love it!"

"My dad and I have used many different circular saws over the years; we just did the upstairs in laminate flooring. This saw made the job easier, as we decided to retire our old saw. Value is the key word here, this saw stands up to any other saw on the market for a much better price, by far."

Comparable to the best

"I have used the saw for over 1 year. Needed a saw to cut concrete and wood. Bought a diamond blade for the concrete. The saw has more than enough power to glide through the concrete. Cuts wood easily too. If you can get it on sale, it is a bargain. You get what you pay for on quality name tools."

"This is probably one of the best saws on the market. It is light, powerful and has a nice cut. Also doesn't have any problems with rain.
Table is adjustable for depth as well as angle. I recommend the model with electric brake, however with care the regular one is great too!
Expect many years of satisfaction with this saw."
