Great little timer

Date:February 7, 2010
"Bought this to use with my block heater for my pickup for those cold mornings.
Very easy to program, feels very sturdy in your hands and the manual was easy enough to follow.
Set it to come on an hour or two before you are sceduled to leave, turn it off before you unplug the cord to your vehicle (prevent sparks) and off you go with a warm vehicle. Also saves by not having it on for 8-9 hours when you first get home.
Happy with the purchase."

Hot stuff

Date:January 1, 2010
"I use this little baby to turn my heat on on the boat. When I get there, she is toasty warm when I get off work. Timer is easy to set. I use a ceramic heater with a thermostat and run double duty on the auto heat. If it gets unplugged you just start again.
Pretty simple stuff and no concerns with overheating / fire hazard. I recommend. Used on my boat for a year.

Block Heater Timer Just What I Needed

Date:December 30, 2009
"The set timer clock function this timer has is just what I needed. I needed a timer that would turn the power on to my block heater an hour or so before I go to work in the morning instead of wasting electricity by having to have my vehicle plugged in from the time I get home from work until the next morning or optionally having to remember to run out later in the evening and plugging it in. This timer allows me to set the clock and a start and end time for turning the power on and off to the block heater. This is also great for weekends when the vehicle isn't used as again electricity isn't wasted with the power being on all the time."

Great for Basic Uses

Date:December 29, 2009
"If you have uncomplicated schedules that you need a timer for this will work well. We use it for xmas lights, car block heater etc. Timing is only every hour with nothing in between and there's no battery back up if your power goes out (you'll need to reset it), but it's affordable for your basic needs or if you need several of these."

Does the job

Date:December 29, 2009
"I live in the Canadian north. It gets really cold. I have to plug in my car a lot. It is nice to have this for my car. Yah, you have to reprogram it if the power goes out but no big deal. It is quite easy and fast to program. It does the job quite adequately."

Poor

Date:December 8, 2009
"I bought 3 of these & returned them all. If the power goes out you have to completely reset them. They can only be set to the hour not the half or even quarter. They have to be plugged in to set them & you have to be very very quick if you want them to all work at the same time, for example xmas lights."

Keeps Time

Date:January 10, 2009
"Great little timer for the money. Use 2 for Christmas lights in the winter. Work great all season. Have had them for a couple years now. The only thing I would change is to have 1 or 2 more outlets on them."

Has its purpose

Date:January 7, 2009
"I have this one and the photoelectric timer. I prefer the photoelectric timer as I use it for my porch light and don't want to change the settings as I approach summer. With this timer, you have to change it every month or so till it reaches summer time, then change it back.
BUT, if you are using it for other purposes that don't need a constant reprogramming, such as for a block heater for the car, this one is fine.
You have to set the current time first ( "C" ), then set the on time ( "P" ) then the off ( "E" ) time.
Once you can figure that out it is foolproof."

Solid Purchase

Date:December 21, 2008
"I've seen these timers on sale every now and again. I've thought of buying another, but really only need 2 for a short period of time. I bought mine over 10 years ago and use it all winter without any problems. Works great for block heater or Christmas lights. Has paid for itself.
An excellent purchase."

Great timer!

Date:November 30, 2008
"I bought this timer last year for some outdoor Christmas lights and found it very easy to use. I bought a second one this year for more outdoor lights. Timers should be simple to setup and use and that is what makes this product great."

excellent service

Date:October 2, 2008
"i use these timers on my farm, block heaters on the diesel tractors, and a temporary night light for cows calving in a small field next to the barn. They are very reliable, only one failed and was replaced by the store without question. The only thing I don't like is they fail immediatly when the power blinks during a thunder storm, then I have to go out and reset the time on them."
