"We purchased 2 kits and 2 extra lights to take with us to Haiti to install in a home we built for a family there. This family has never had electricity!! They loved their new lights, manual on/ off suited them just fine! Thank you Noma for bringing light to a darkened place!"

Good option when electricity not available

"Purchased this light kit plus an additional hanging light to use in a 8x10 shed and am happy with the quality of the unit and light output.
Dropped one of the hanging lights twice from about 5 feet during installation and it still looks and works like new.
For me the only thing that would improve this light kit would be a light sensor to automatically turn the lights off during daylight .... but for what I am using the lights for, this is not a big deal."

No solar cell to turn unit on automatically?

"Good unit...but not for any type of accent lighting.
I have a shed at the back of the yard that contains 4 windows and wanted to light it from the inside automatically. I also have a gazebo that I wanted to illuminate at night to add some depth to the yard. I bought this unit expecting it to be able to add the desired light comming on at dusk as most solar powered lights.
Unfortunatly the switches are completely manual. Meaning you need to have access to the pannel or be able to reach the hanging bulb itself to turn on the light.
It puts out a lot of light, but if you want it to come on automatically, this unit not for you."

"Used this light in my 10x10x8 shed. Ad first I was concerned that it would not emit anough light, and I though that I would, at the very least, have a solar powered flashlight that I could use in my shed. Bought it, waited until midnight and went out to turn the light on. I could not believe how bright and perfect it was. As it has 3 LED lights inside, it does not seem to have as much of a shadow when inside the shed. Very gright, would not use for a space bigger than a 12x12 shed."

"If anyone is concerned about durability, I accidentally dropped the light from 4 feet up onto a ceramic tile floor and it was fine!!!
The ad is misleading, there are only 3 leds in the light and it says so on the box, but the light output is still really strong."

Great all in one solution

"I purchased this product last week and LOVE it
I used it in my shed and gives a lot of light.
I needed it for several hours and it was still on. I will buy one more next week for my gazebo. It's so light that i may even take it when I go camping"
