What's the point?

Date:September 29, 2011
"These bulbs may indeed use less current, but their durability doesn't seem to be any better that the incandescent type. Most of our bulbs at home are of this type, and they pop as frequently as the incandescent ones. So considering the higher cost, they are far more expensive to use. If they lasted longer, then they'd be OK until LEDs become more cost effective. LEDs will indeed last, but these are truly a waste of money. So we'll try other brands to see if they fare fetter than Noma's, which wouldn't surprise me. We still got some incandescent for now to replace the duds."

Good Buy - Good for the Garage

Date:January 5, 2010
"I now use these bulbs in the garage for my work light (trouble light). I used to use the 100 watt work bulbs that cost a fortune, and when the back of the trouble light touches your skin it burns since it gets really hot. These 23 watt fluorescent bulbs take about 20 seconds to get to a full (100 watt brightness) but stays cool to the touch of the trouble light and the way the bulb works throws the light better."

Still Going...

"We have a number of these in our house and haven't had to replace any of them. They've stood up to everyday use far better than standard bulbs and given us the savings."

Garbage, beware all Noma products

Date:May 2, 2009
"Last winter, I bought 2 boxes of this when it was on sell. How half of them already gone. it's designed to replace regular light bulb but turns out shorter life then it. how to save energy, environment and money?
I also bought a Noma sensor night light. It used to work randomly and total die recently. last less than 1 year but I can't find the receipt.
So from my personal experience, stay way with Noma products. even the price looks attractive, but end up pay may more the decent ones."

Let there be light

Date:February 11, 2009
"We've had 13W cfl's for about a year now. My wife kept saying the 13W cfl's gave off a yellow light, so after months, I gave in and bought these 23W bulbs on sale. WOW, talk about bright and white. We have a Tiffany lamp that has gone from providing atmosphere to actually providing useful light. These bulbs might not be for everyone because of the white light, but they sure have brightened up our place. Now I'm walking around the house looking at all the yellow cfl's and I guess I'll be replacing most of them. Never realized there was such a big difference. Reading some of the reveiws, they might not last 5 years, if not, CTC will relace them. I wasn't impressed with the Blue Planet covered spiral bulbs, but these bulbs are certanly much better."

Don't last very long

Date:February 8, 2009
"I replaced most of the lights in my home with these noma brand bulbs. They are bright, however they do not last 10 years. I have returned several within 12 months because they keep burning out."

These bulbs are bright...

Date:October 23, 2008
"I bought these bulbs back in 2006 and have converted an entire apartment complex to them - reduced my electric bill by $30.00 -
$40.00 per month. These Noma 2 pack bulbs
give off the whitest light on the market and are brighter than 28 watt bulbs by other manufactures. The average life span has been great so far with me replacing only 3 bulbs in the last two years and those bulbs were on constantly. I must admit the best time
to buy is when they go on sale @ 40% - 50%
off and that is usually three to four times a year. Hold onto your receipts and if a bulb
fails take it back and CTC will look after you.

Good but not good enough

Date:October 3, 2008
"Good but, given that they are meant to last 5-10 years or more, I have been disappointed that several (I replaced most bulbs in my house with this brand) have "blown" already - within a couple of years. I guess you get what you pay for and I'll be going with a better brand next time."

Amazing

Date:September 9, 2008
"I never believed that these low energy bulbs could be as good as incandescent bulbs until I bought 3. Now, I'm a believer. Safe, lew in energy consumption, long life, soft lighting... all true! Amazing. From mow on, those are the only bulbs I will buy for all my household needs."

SAVINGS

Date:September 9, 2008
"They say they last long, they do. They say that you will save money, you will. I was skeptical in the beginning, but now I am convinced. They are life savers...or should I say better, money savers."

Lasted for many years.

Date:May 15, 2008
"I’ve replaced 35 incandescent light bulbs in my house with these Noma 23W CFLs almost 4 years ago. Only one of these 35 CFLs burnt out last week and had to be replaced. The remaining bulbs are still working fine. The light produced is like a normal warm incandescent light bulb, not like a cold white tube light."

More Natural kind of light.

Date:April 3, 2008
"I have one of these bulbs in the lamp over the chair where I do most my reading. It is a better quality light, and good to read by. Just like all compact flourescents though, they take a few minutes to reach full strength. Worth the few extra bucks."
