several different types - make sure you get the ..

".. right one.
This is good for filling up holes, dings and nicks in wood, and for mistakes and accidental cuts.
Some are sandable, some are paintable, some are stainable. Some are tinted, some spread better than others, some hold up better than others. I have several different types of wood fillers and this one is repeat purchase for me."

Good for Small Fixes
Date:January 11, 2010
"We bought this as the movers at the time damaged one of our stair banisters. This was enough to fill in the scratch and help smooth out the rough edges. Plus I liked the fact that it can be sanded. We even used some touch-up pens to get it closer to the colour of the original wood."

Only for Small Areas
Date:January 6, 2010
"I recommend this only for small areas in need of wood filler. Note after you open this product it doesn't hold well for very long before it dries up. Even with the cap on."

Good for patching minor defects
Date:October 1, 2008
"This product is good for patching minor defects in wood. For deep holes or cracks, it usually takes a second application to get the surface even. It spreads easily and dries hard. Once dried it can be sanded and painted. A useful product."

Super stuff
Date:September 11, 2008
"I use this stuff whenever I get a chance... I use it when I'm repairing guitars, and I even used it to patch up some rough surfaces when I was making my coffee table. The best part is, it's still stainable so that you can match it to the exact tone in your wood project.
The lighter colours don't look as good; however, when used in situ, as it's just a flat colour without any wood detailing.
It stands up to wear and tear when you coat it with polyurethane. It takes a while to dry though."

White tinted filler great for paint prep
Date:July 28, 2008
"I had a lot of damage to the woodwork in my house from my dog and just years of dings and cracks. I used this filler for the first time (the white tinted version) and found it excellent to work with. It's easy to apply and paints up well. The white colour makes it easier to paint over. When necessary (outside corner repairs etc.) it sands up to a really nice edge. I also used it to fill nail holes from installing some new trim with the same positive results."

looks good, but
Date:October 31, 2007
"This product blended really well with my hardwood floor. To be fair, there is a warning on the package saying the product shouldn't get wet, but you do eventually have to wash your floor. I found that even long after the product had dried, a bit of it came off when I ran a damp sponge over the area. If you use it, I guess it will have to be on an area that isn't readily seen."
