The Cat's Meow

Date:June 27, 2012
"I purchased this paint sprayer on sale this weekend for an exterior painting project.
I had started repainting my log cabin with a roller and brush, but it was slow going, and it was hard to get paint coverage on such an irregular surface.
I figured I'd give spraying a try, and it was a great decision. The paint crew performed flawlessly from start to finish. I finished the first coat that I couldn't complete in the first weekend, and gave everything a second, all in less than four hours, including prep time for masking windows and doors. You better take the time to do this, because you will get overspray!
I used a thick CIL Reallife exterior paint, and this machine had no problem turning it into a quality spray, with no splattering. I am a novice spray painter, but had no problem mastering paint application. The amount of paint used didn't seem to be significantly different than what I used rolling and brushing, which was a surprise.
Assembly time for the paint crew was minimal, operation was easy, and cleanup took about 20 minutes. All were easily performed following the directions included.
When I was buying this machine, another customer said "there's no easy way to do it". But, after starting the job with a roller and finishing with this, I have to say he was wrong!
I'd definitely recommend this machine!"

One of the top 10 must have tools

Date:June 26, 2012
"This unit made my top 10 tools list. If you have any surfaces that are uneven, rafters, fences, spindles, for the price... you have to own it. I was going to paint my rafters with a brush but it looked like a pain especially with the nails from the shingles through the sheathing. Looked at renting a sprayer... $106.00 plus tax for a day...would have needed it for 2 days with dry time. Purchased this unit because I seen it on sale and thought I would give it a try.... also has a 1 year in store return warranty. Can't say anything more than incredible unit. Saved me 20 or more hours of painting with a brush in one job alone. Yes..ok... it takes awhile to clean it properly afterwards... but it was well worth the extra time. I found that straight hot water works the best to clean it up... I also had a water bucket to put the sprayer in between coats and just layed a garbage bag over the unit while spraying...saves some time when cleaning it all up at the end of use. Unlike other sprayers I have had in the past...there is very little paint overspray and since the paint is in the reservoir in the unit itself, there is very little weight at the sprayer end. Hose is a little stiff but it works and that is all that matters.
Cheers!"

very nice

Date:June 12, 2011
"I'm not a painter, but have used some compressed air type sprayers before. I did look at those before purchasing this sprayer for much cheaper. I'm glad I chose this sprayer. The sprayer does not have an adjustment for quantity of spray, so I had more over spray than I'm used to. clean up is not too bad, 45 minutes start to finish. Very happy with the sprayer, but would only use it for certain jobs, sometimes a roller is just easier."

Great Machine

Date:February 20, 2010
"This is a very nice sprayer. It is far better than the Wagner guns. It can be used in all positions and directions and has a nice tight spray pattern. The 25' hose is long enough for most jobs. Clean up is fairly easy and very little paint is lost. The only thing that I would change would be to add a swivel fitting at the gun. The stiff high pressure hose tends to make the gun hard to maneuver. Overall I am happy I spent the money."

Fantastic Time Saver, Great to use on the house

Date:February 15, 2010
"We purchased the Wagner 770 as a time saver for a big renovation we are doing. At first it seemed like the unit wouldn't keep up with the job, but we were way off. The sprayer works fantastic, fast, and as long as you follow the instructions, you'll be done in no time.
We used this to put 3 coats of primer on fresh drywall and ceilings, apply the ceiling paint, and once we figured out the gun were able to spray colour on without splatter or drooling. It took no time at all, about an hour or so to do each coat for all 3 rooms, vs probably an hour a room or more. Saves tons of time.
Keep someone with a roller around to feather it back for a textured look. I'd reccomend this unit to anyone.
Key to a good clean workplace: Drop cloths and plastic...if someone opens a door, and pulls the paint mist into another room...well you get the idea. Prepare your work area in advance this is a sprayer ;)"

The best paint sprayer out there

Date:December 31, 2009
"Three years ago, I painted the fence around my property and it took me the better part of three days. This year I decided to tackle the job again. I started out with a brush in hand and quickly became discouraged. I went to Canadian Tire and purchased this sprayer. Three and a half hours later I was finished the fence. Now I look forward to painting anything and everything. There is some clean up and maintenance with this machine, but I think you will find it all very worth while. It will also use a little extra paint. Don’t get this sprayer confused with the hand held Wagner style that have a half liter cup attached. There is no vibration in this unit as the pump is part of the unit away from the spray handle. Smooth operation all around."

Great timesaver!!!

Date:August 11, 2009
"I purchased this paint sprayer to apply two coats of stain and two coats of gloss sealer to my log cabin and I couldn't be happier. I was able to apply a coat to the whole cabin within an hour and a half. The sprayer was easy to set-up and use....just follow the instructions. Clean-up was staright-forward and its important to take your time and be thorough. I would recommend a toothbrush for those hard to reach spots and have a couple of pails on hand. Following the stain and sealer, a week later I applied some exterior latex to the window shutters....great finish and fast, fast, fast! I highly recommend this product...just follow the instructions."

Good for Big Jobs

Date:July 14, 2009
"Bought this to paint deck/cottage. Very good purchase and easy to setup, although reading the manual one would think what did I get myself into.
Cleanup is a bit of a hassel and not recommended for smaller jobs (it'll take you longer to cleanup then paint).
Oil base paints would be a mess for cleanup.
In general, good buy but might be a bit on pricey side."
