VHT Nite-Shades Black Tail Light Paint, 283g

Transparent black tail light coating creates a custom look for tail lights. Gives you a European style look. Can be applied to tail lights, fog lights and turn signal indicators. Lights appear black until they are lit - then the natural red colour appears

Works Great! Looks Great! Doesn't Break The Bank

Date:May 27, 2013
"My friend bought a can to do the back lights of his '03 Cavalier, and gave me what was left in the can when he was done. You can cover quit a bit with on can.
Following the steps on the can (and to see what would happen) I did not sand before or add the clear coat (neither did my friend). The final product still turned out great! Although I do recommend following the proper steps of sanding first and such. You will get a better result.
After two months of being on my friends car it still looks as good as the day he put it on."

Awsome look!

Date:September 26, 2012
"I sprayed two coats of VHT. I then sprayed three coats of clear after ten minutes. Make sure to clean and sand tail light with 1500 grit wet sand paper before using the VHT. After the clear coat is dry sand the clear with 2000 grit wet sand paper. Buy meguiars ultimate compound and get ready to get a sore arm from rubbing to a shine. All together I have under $20 invested. The picture I added is my tail light all finished and a tail light before final sanding and compounding. There are a few steps to take but the end result will get your car to stand out!"

Take your time, do it right, & it works perfectly

Date:July 7, 2012
"I followed most of the instructions already posted by other reviewers and it worked as advertised. Sand first and put on multiple thin coats of VHT Nite-Shades, then use multiple coats of clear coat and it will turn out great.
Mask off the entire area so you can hold the can at least 8" away from the surface as you spray. Better yet, if you can, remove the assembly being painted from the vehicle entirely.
I've attached pictures of the before and after, dark and lit; these are the turn indicators on the side mirrors of my '08 Acura TL."

Never tough it would look that good

Date:May 16, 2011
"I bought this even though I was not a 100% sure how it was going to look/ how dark it would be on my tail light , after sanding the lights and putting about 2/3 coats it looks just like I wanted. It gives a tint looks and it was very easy to spray on go mess the only thing you want to do is not to spray it too close but except that nothing very good stuff and specialty for the 12$"

Great product

Date:July 20, 2010
"This stuff can turn out really good... If you take your time and know what you are doing. The steps I did were #1) Sand tail lights down until gloss is completely gone 2) Wet sand with 2000 grit sand paper with soap/water mix to clean the lights 3) Then spray you niteshades on (thin even coats) 4) Wet sand with 2000 grit until orange peel is gone 5) clear coat tail lights and wet sand between coats. Then once your done spraying them, you should buff them so they will look glossy and professionally done. Get a good compound and do a few coats of that, the get some Meguiars PlastX and do 4 coats of that, and finally get some Mequiars Deep Crystal wax and do 4 coats of that. I hope that helps."
