Why just buy one

"I'd come off from an angered day because my Oster "wonder-tool" had decided to die after not even 12 uses, so, I did my research. After checking out all the comments over this item, I went to CT and I bought two of them, not on sale. The second one is for the spare parts as they supposedly ware out fast. Used it, like it a lot; noise is not a problem since I'm always eared to my Ipod as I prepare my food.
Only problem I have is that it looks too much like a tool you'd find in an auto-repair shop!"

Not Good for Slicing / Shredding

"Have had it for 2 years. The chopper works ok. However both slicing/shredding blades broke after not much use. The blades are built with an inner plastic mount that in both cases detached from the metal blade with the result that the blade doesn't rotate anymore.
For the price, esp on sale, its a great chopper. However, if you use the shredding discs often it wont work for you in the long run (or even the short run)"

"Bought item 50% off and was definately worth it, it has a lot of power and works well.
The only drawbacks are that it is very noisey and the suction feet make it difficult to move around the counter."

Suction Cups are Nice

"The suction cups on the bottom are nice, and the interlock mechanism seems pretty durable. My initial reactions were generally positive, although this one is a bit harder to clean than my previous Oster.
However, after 6 months of use, the blade on this device has dulled a bit faster than the Oster blade. Other than that and being harder to clean (the blade is two pieces, and the food container has more small crevices), I have no complaints. I did incorrectly think it was broken once, but that turned-out to be operator error (triple-check that interlock mechanism before jumping to conclusions!).
Some features -- eg, a reverse option to spin the mixer backwards -- would be nice. However, for the price difference (I got this item on sale, too), I will take a pass on such fancy features. The 600W seems legitimate.
As with all 600W food processors, it's loud. Remember to wear proper hearing protection (are there any 600W food processors that are actually quiet?)."

"If you are like me, then you are always in the kitchen. I have been looking for a product that is my sous chef and this is it! It chops, shreds, cuts, makes perfect pastry and bread dough and cleans up so quickly. It is powerful and even has suction cups on the bottom to hold it in place. A must-have for every cook/baker/chef!!!!"

"I love this food processor. It is powerful and the bowl has a large capacity. I use my Black & Decker food processor at least 4x/week. The only thing I would change, if I could would be to make the cutting blade adjustable for different thicknesses. Otherwise, it's great!"

"I got this processor last christmas as a last minute gift to myself on special for half the price (love Canadian Tire for their specials) and not only does it go with my stainless steel kitchen but it works great. Love that it sucktion cups to the counter and for a small processor, it has power."

"Although I was attracted by the 600watt motor and the sale price, I wouldn't buy another at any price... I have been using a small high quality food processor for the last 10 years therefor it is probably why I was so shocked they actually had something so cheap on the market.
The plastic bowl is thin and delicate.
It has suction cups at the bottom to hold it in place. And it stopped turning within the first week I had it.

No slicing selection and poor durability

"I initially found that there is only 1 slicing disk included with this product. This allows for grating or very thin slicing and did not completely satisfy my needs. I kept it as it was an inexpensive model.
Within 6 months, the handle, mounting bar for the slicer were broken. I must add that I did not use the machine extensively, with the greatest load being grating cheese."

"I got this unit on sale for $38.99 and it was a steal. I use it to grate cheese, mix batters and make baby food. It works really, really well. My only complaints are that when you get to the end of the block of cheese the gripper loses purchase and your last inch or so ends up as cheese balls and not grated. Also, the loud unit startles the baby if she's in the room. However, these are minute prices to pay for a really good unit"

Not what it's cracked up to be!

"Bought this because the picture of the slices on the box looked exactly what I was looking for. When we used it to slice vegetables all the slices came out paper thin - regardless which of the two blades I tried. I e-mailed Black & Decker and they gave me the name of the company that now makes the food processors. I tried to send an e-mail but the form requested a model number but would not allow the entry of it. So I tried calling but the wait on the line was so long I gave up. If you are looking for a processor that gives nice slices then don't buy this one. Picture on box is very deceiving!"
