Close, but not accurate...

"This thermometer is great for reference, but the thermometer and the scale weren't lined up on my recent purchase.
I installed it and it read a few degrees high (based on my other thermometers). I took the thermometer inside ad put it in an ice bath to see how far 0 is off, and it is 4 degrees off.
Now I get to do math every time I look at it :)
Not bad for a $6 thermometer. For those of you who have lucked out and have correct readings, lucky you. For the rest of us, it's an opportunity to keep the math skills sharp."

Just bought a replacement...

"...for the one we've had for several years -- it worked well all that time but the wind caught it a few weeks ago and and broke it on the deck floor. This replacement one is securely fastened and working perfectly!"

Cheap thermometer

"This is a cheap thermometer but last a long time. Doesn't look the best either, but is good enough for me. I have two of them on the house and work great."
