Looks can be deceiving

"Was a great idea and looked like it would fit my needs, but the first one broke only after 3 uses and the exchanged one broke after 2weeks. The plastic grinding mechanism was cheap and didn't hold up to the pressure needed to grind the salt. I did love the idea of having it stored together but also being able to separate the two halves for easier usage. If only the trigger mechanics were metal or even sturdier plastic. Spend the money and by a metal grinder."

LOVED IT!! Till it broke.

"Loved the look and idea of this product. However, on the second usage, the pepper side broke and all fell into my food causing me to throw out my chili. I saw plastic piecess and a spring in my food. Wasn't taking the chance. Think I'll buy regular salt & pepper shakers. My recommendation... PASS!"

"From the beginning I found that it didn't grind the salt and pepper properly, large clumps would make it into the food. After a couple months the pepper side broke. Not worth buying at any price."

PROS: size of the containers (less refilling), choice of fine to coarse grind, came filled and ready to go
CONS: pepper grinder broke after 6 months of daily use (still use salt half), difficult to refill, more plastic for the landfill
Worth $5 for the contents and the 6 months of use, but not if you are concerned about our environment--I envision mountains of these S&P grinders in landfills because they only last a few months."

Broke on me

"For what it's worth I like to look at it as if the $4 I paid for it pretty much bought the salt and pepper that it came with. Other than that, it's cheap plastic garbage that doesn't really work properly and the lever breaks at the bottom after awhile.
Also, the adjustments for the coarseness keeps moving."

$4 - Not worth the money

"I bought this on sale for $4. The unit broke broke in the middle when I tried to take the wrapper off. I wasn't too worried, I figured I could use the two halves separately. Wrong. As soon as I tried to operate the pepper mill, the base broke off and pepper spilled everywhere.
At $4, my expectations were pretty low, but I expected it to work at least once."

Waste of money - Do not Buy

"I was excited to see a two in one grinder. The price was a little high but thought having both will save me money to just refill the sea salt and pepper - this was a waste of money. It is long gone in the garbage broken, I actually believe it lasted 2-3 weeks. This is not even worth the 1 star, but unfortunately the system is making me."

Great idea - Terrible construction

"Bought this product - thought it was great, so bought 2 more for stocking stuffers for my daughter-in-laws. Mine stopped working (pepper mill) after about a month - thought it was because my grandson dropped it and the 2 halves separated. But no, both given away stopped working within a month as well. Pepper mill first, then the salt mill shortly thereafter. Should be a way to get our money back!!!"

"The product is plastic and the salt portion of the grinder broke after a couple of months, very dissappointed. The product actually ground very well up until then. I got it at the promo price (not supposed to mention this according to the rules? why? that is important to know?) so not that bad overall, i still have the pepper half, as they separate into 2 halfs."
