"I rented a sedan recently and scraped the side against a freshly painted pole (bright yellow) in a grocery store parking lot to avoid an erratic driver. When I got out of the car, the side looked like someone had taken a paint roller covered in broken glass and run it along the door, the rear bumper and door handles multiple times. After I finished my panic attack, a guy in the parking lot referred me to Turtle Wax "Rubbing Compound". I drove to Canadian Tire and bought some (for $5) and, I kid you not, easily took off ALL the paint and removed the appearance of almost every hairline scratch on the car (one on the bottom of the door remained but was greatly reduced in severity). The entire process took 30 minutes and involved no more than the Rubbing Compound, a little water and an old towel. Knowing that car rental agencies markup their body repair work by 300%, can you imagine what this would have cost?! Instead, I returned the car and nervously watched the attendant inspect it. No exaggeration here: He asked me if I had it washed. This is a FANTASTIC product (I wish I had taken pictures of this!)"

Works Great

"Got some scratch on the cover of my side mirror when passing the post of the underground parking lot. Never expect it gone until I tried this product. Works amazingly on some other deep hairline scratches. Highly recommended to try."

Part of paint treatment arsenal
Date:November 10, 2008
"Also a great product from the guys at Turtle Wax. Stronger and more abrasive formula than their polishing compound. It will blend out deeper imperfections in paint. must be followed by polishing compound and then a glaze in order to restore the shine and lustre of the paint.
Due to the aggressive nature of all rubbing compounds, exercise care when using as they can burn the paint relatively fast."
