Good except...
Date:May 11, 2013
"This cooler worked very well for our in-town use. However the power cord is very fragile, hard-wired to the motor and broke on our first road trip. If they make the power cord removable / less fragile then it would be a good purchase. Otherwise, avoid it if you can't treat it with kid gloves all the time."

"we got ours for 40$n sale and dont regret at all We have already the big 45 liters and use this one on occasion. Not very roomy but will hold a bottle of 2 liters pop and several other items .Construction is as good as the big brother with rubber gasket on the lid. Good quality plastic and well built."

24Vlt cooler
Date:September 18, 2008
"I purchased one of these 10 years ago and it never fails to amaze me. Plugs into your car and when you're on the road, bring it into the place you stay and plug into the house current. Both AC/DC allows so much flexability. Always keeps your food and beverages cold, not cool, but cold"

Does The Job

"I bought this cooler with the intention of using not for camping but more so far the long roadtrips our family takes. We'll put drinks and fruit/vegies in it. Make sure you secure it so that it doesn't tumble over."

very useful for camping and tours
Date:September 14, 2008
"I bought it for our camping and a few tours in and around Toronto area. It certainly worked well when pluging it in to AC when we traveled by car, or connected it to outlets whenever we checked in to our motel rooms or camping trailer. Although it seems a bit slow to really cool down or warmer up at beginning, it does very well to hold the intented temperatures for either cooling or warming. I certainly recommend it to all my friends. thanks."

Cooler Could Be Cooler
Date:September 13, 2008
"Basically I bought it for hauling home groceries during the hot summer months. I figured I could put my perishables in the cooler and they would be kept safely cool during the drive home. That's what I hoped, but it takes forever for the cooler to get to the right temperature. I read the other reviews....I'd be better off buying some ice, and putting my perishables in an ordinary cooler. It was a waste of money to buy this cooler."

Not worth the money
Date:September 12, 2008
"I would keep your Canadian tire money as well as cash in your pocket and buy a regular cooler. For the fact you don't need to consume energy when using them. This is more of a too good to be true product. Stick with the traditional ways of ice and a good quality cooler."

Just a power consumer
Date:September 9, 2008
"Bought it for camping and beach BBQ. IT CAN NEVER COOL WHAT YOU PUT IN IT; it can just keep the stuff a bit cold but they will eventually be warm after 4-6 hours that you put them in the cooler. It consumes lots of energy but does not cool the inside as you wish. I would personally go and buy a traditional cooler and some ice instead of using this cooler again."

Average at best
Date:August 30, 2008
"Takes forever to cool down. And even when loaded with cool items it never really keeps beverages cold. Unless you vehicle has battery run down protection I would be wary as well. I've used it for 6-8 hours with the vehicle off. No battery issues on that day however. Bottom line... I still use Ice packs in this cooler to keep things cold. However on long driving trips it is nice not to worry about ice twice a day. the cooler extends the ice packs efficiency."

Uses a lot of electricity
Date:April 8, 2008
"This cooler is useful, but I'd only ever use it when hooked up to A/C power because it will drain your battery completely dead within a couple of hours. Provides plenty of cool though it does take a couple hours to cool down and by then your battery is dead if you aren't hooked to a charger."
