Needs improvement

Date:April 3, 2012
"I desperately bought one of these when the heater in my vehicle was briefly out of commission. I had no issues with the fuses like most of the other reviewers, but the heat coming out of this thing is barely worth it. If you hold your hand right up to it, you might feel a very light breeze and that's it, but at 150W, it should be expected. I have a large van and the cab is not sealed off in any way, so to heat the whole thing through in -30 and below would take hours if not days. It might do the trick in some warmer climates and with a smaller car.."

not worth the money

Date:January 28, 2012
"Don't waste money on this item, it says it takes 13 amps to make this heater work?Tthen why would they put a 10 amp switch in it. The switch melted after only a couple of weeks of using it."

Eats fuses, but gives off good heat

Date:January 19, 2012
"My lighter/accessory is a 20A fuse and it ate them like candy. Which was too bad because it gives off decent heat even when drawing in -30air, and had good fan speed."

"i dont recommand it to anyone..................it eats fuses and by chance if it works, not enough heat to warm the car........i used it for two weeks and later i broke the outlet adapter(poorly constructed) during hookup,so i couldnot even qualified for returns......it would be better if i had bought a toy for my kid instead for $30 bucks!!!!!!!!!"

Works Fine

Date:November 13, 2010
"No all vehicles have 10 amp fuses. I recommend doing research to figure out which products will work for you before you buy them. If your car has a 10 amp cig lighter dont buy a 13 amp heater. My vehicle has a 15 amp cig lighter (as most do) and it works fine for me."

Don't bother

Date:October 1, 2010
"Okay if you get this device, stock up on fuses for you car.
Why?
The cigarette lighter / 12V plug in is a 10 Amp circuit. So if you use this device you will blow the fuse as it is a 13 amp device. Don't bother.
Had one and it caused nothing but problems.
Trust me. Changing a fuse in -30 C is not fun."
