Not for extreme cold

"At -40 C these cables are not flexible. When you really need them they will stay in the shape of the 'handy' carrying case which will also be very stiff and crack in the cold. We had to take either end pull hard to get them to reach from car to car. The copper inserts on the clamps make it hard to get a good connection to side mount battery terminals also. Looks like you have to spend $70 to get a good flexible set of cables that are solid copper and rubber."

"Nothing is worse than having a dead car battery or lawn mower battery than not having battery cables to give a boost. These booster cables are light weight and come with its own storage case. A great item to have. Great sale price."

"These cables are great value if you want to carry them in the car for emergencies. I wouldn't recommend them for prolonged everyday use but for the occasional emergency start they are more than adequate & well priced"

Better than average

"Good quality booster cables. I have 3 vehicles and 2 usually gets stored during winter. I have tried trickle-type maintenance chargers but they seem to ruin the batteries quickly. Intead, I just boost the batteries when needed whenever I need to start the vehicles. I bought this booster cable for the amperage capacity and the length. I would have purchased the next model (20 ft) but the price was too much. Overall, 16 feet was a good compromise"

"After having some old cables in my car which damaged my sub speaker. I ended up buying some new ones with a protective case these work well and I've been lucky not to use them yet. Must have for a safety car kit."

Convenient Case

"I got this because it came in a convenient case to store the cables. The cable themselves work just fine to boost a drained battery. I’ve had this for several years, and it still looks new since the case helped prevent rusting/oxidization when left in the trunk. The cable gauge is fine for its purpose; however non-exposed connectors would have made this cable even better/safer."

Pretty good booster cables

"I bought this set a while ago. It's a basic set - not the thickest guage and not the thinest. It comes with a convenient carrying bag. Plan on putting these in your trunk just in case you need them. The winters in Canada can get pretty harsh!"
