top notch battery

Date:December 28, 2012
"Have been running Optima yellow and blue tops for years, bought the motomaster-branded version of this battery, lower price and better warranty, simply miles ahead of conventional lead-acid technology. Can't beat it for power, drain and recharging capabilities, and it will last twice as long."

Good For After-market Stereos

Date:January 4, 2010
"The sole purpose I purchased this battery is because my old battery was not sufficient to power my stereo. I'm running two amps, and with my bass at a pretty high level, all of my lights would flicker and dim with the bass. After about a year of using my OEM battery,I decided to upgrade to an optima battery. After discovering Optima batteries are not available in my area, I figured I'd give the orbital a go. Now with my new battery, I can run the stereo for hours with the engine off. Although my lights still do dim, it's not as much.
Although I've only had this battery for about a year, I am so far satisfied."

Good battery...

Date:May 15, 2009
"Guys... this is the same battery as the Motomaster spiral battery (10-7590-8) that's getting good reviews. Exide makes that battery for Canadian Tire. I ran this particular Exide battery in a race vehicle (abusive environment) for 5 years without a problem. It's a good battery... however, I would recommend buying the Motomaster battery simply because it costs less and it comes with a much longer warranty period (3 years free replacement and 10 year total pro-rated deal)"

"This is "high-tech" junk. The fact it is relatively new and of neat design is probably what has driven what sales it had. Performance or quality certainly has nothing to do with it!
Without getting too technical about things...
this battery relies too much on initial punch -- that's the "30% more power in the first five seconds" bit. The problem happens when your car does not start in the first 5-10 seconds. The way it forces power damages the internals, period. Should your car on some unfortunate occasion need, say, 20 seconds of cranking, this battery stands a good chance of being turned into junk -- even if it just came off of a store shelf.
Now, most cars these days start quickly, but even still, this "power forcing" has an accumulative effect regarding battery damage. So even if your car starts quickly every time, you would be very, very lucky to get 3 years of use out of it. I'd think 2 years would be the average lifetime for these batteries in typical usage-- but I would bet the average life is somewhere between 1 and 2 years.
So, keep away from this garbage. The price is a joke almost as large as it's performance.
