Worth Every Penny - Great Buy!!
Date:November 26, 2013
"I purchased this battery to replace my original dealer battery and I can't believe the difference in power when using accessories. This is an awesome battery and I would recommend it to all my friends. It is a little more expensive but worth the investment. 5 Year replacement warranty and another 5 years pro rated. You won't regret buying this battery."
"Great Battery Had one of the more basic motomaster batteries and it failed very frequently got this MotoMaster Eliminator Ultra Flat Plate AGM threw my warranty plus a little extra cash and its great on my big 91 Caddy plenty of power for all my audio equipment neon glass trunk sign and my fifth wheel electric trunk mount!!! A Great Buy For the Money !!"
"Bought this battery early January to go with CTC 1000 watt inverter/charger for sump pump power backup. Worked great on initial testing with inverter and pump but when checking operation 2 weeks later found battery would deliver power although appeared fully charged. Returned unit to store and they load tested it and sure enough it showed zero CCA. Got a replacement and it works fine but concerned this particular AGM model may not be most reliable unit but it does have a 5yr warranty. Have Odyssey brand in my Skidoos and never had a problem."
"Happy to find a good quality AGM battery other than spending up to 200+ on competitors. Worth every penny. Get it when its on sale, comes with good warranty and everything. Unfortunately my car with it was just totaled. Ill be back for another one soon."
"This battery gave my 2006 Mazda 3 very strong and instant starts during the cold winter weather. It also copes really well with all the extra accessories i'm powering in the vehicle. I can verify this via my battery voltage monitor in vehicle accessory socket.
A helpful tip before installing, which has nothing to do with this particular battery. This applies to any battery change on newer vehicles.
If you notice that your car idles rough, or starts stalling at stops after installing a new battery like i did. You may want to try cleaning your throttle body! When changing the battery on newer cars, your vehicles computer will be reset. This causes your throttle settings, to go back to factory defaults as if the car was new and it will take time for the computer to "re-learn" the optimal settings for it's current condition.
Because my vehicle had over 100,000 km's on it, the throttle body was all gummed up with soot and carbon. When throttle is in idle position, the extra grime reduces the air flow gap in the factory set throttle position. This causes rough or vibrating idle, or stalls when coming to a stop as the vehicle is literally starved of air!
Google "how to clean throttle body" and you will get some really good step by step instructions on how to do this. It's a 15 min job and can be done by almost anyone. My car run's smooth after doing this!
The only way to avoid this is to have a booster pack of some sort in the vehicles 12v accessory plug to retain the computers memory settings during the battery change."
"Just picked one of these up on sale for my Jeep Wrangler. Seems of good quality. Wanted an increase in CCA from my stock battery (600 CCA). Vehicle starts instantly with no hesitation at -18 this morning. Very happy with it so far."
"I just purchased this AGM battery Dec. 20th in Calgary, as my previous Motomaster Eliminator died suddenly after 4 years. ( 3 years replacement & a further 6 years pro-rated warranty). My 3rd Motomaster Eliminator battery to die suddenly the year after the free replacement period ended ! I installed this Motomaster Eliminator Ultra battery just before the temp dropped to -24C and -30C with wind chill. The next morning my starter cranked like it was +20C and car started easily. READ THE LABEL > Eliminator label lists CCA at ZERO degrees celsius whereas this AGM "Ultra" battery label lists CCA at -18C . My group 35 battery has 650 CCA at -18C , and that is exactly what I'm getting "off the shelf" . I will post again when battery is 5 years old, but initial performance is very impressive."
