Excellent jack

Date:May 3, 2013
"I received this jack as a birthday present from my son. After watching me use my small old wobbly jack he got me this one. it lifts into position quickly and raises the vehicle to a very good height to get axle stands under. I am very pleased with it, and use it frequently."

Leaks like a sieve

Date:December 8, 2012
"I wanted to like this jack, I really did. It's sturdy and lifts quickly. Unfortunately, it started to leak after only a few uses. I was working overseas for 8 months, so it was out of warranty by the time I returned and the problem surfaced. Do not buy, unless you need a cheap boat anchor."

Serve its purpose

Date:December 7, 2012
"Used this one for a couple of seasons now and it does do what it's supposed to do. My only concern is it's starting to rust even though I oil it after every use and store it in a dry location. Do not buy this on regular price and wait for it to go on sale."

So far so good

Date:May 30, 2012
"Purchased to replace an ancient jack that leaked constantly. Lifts old land yachts ('56 Packard, '72 Continental etc) without difficulty, and quite high. Lifts our modern daily drivers as if they weren't there...very heavy and very sturdy. I'm a little concerned about leaks given other reviews, but I have to rate honestly and say that it has been fine so far... I like the telescoping handle. Rubber insert in cradle has caused jack to slip slightly on a greasy frame. It need be kept clean or can be removed."

Good unit

Date:January 14, 2012
"I bought this unit on sale in Nov 2007 since it has a longer reach for the Accord I had bought where the front central jacking point is more recessed from the front than all my previous cars, so it's been 4 years since.
Very happy with the unit, it lifts quick and strong, yes it's heavy but I only use it in my garage or driveway so it doesn't matter.
I use it probably 15-20 times a year doing oil change, brake inspection, summer/winter tire swapping and other work. I used it to change the sway bars on the Accord and lifted the car so high off the ground I was truly amazed, and I would not have been able to take out the front sway bar if it was't for how high this floor jack can raise the car!
The lifting pad is fairly low and should work for 95% of the cars out there, however my summer car (a Porsche 911) sits too low and has to be driven up plank of 2x10 lumber before I can raise the car with this floor jack, no big issues."

No Speedy Lift

Date:October 8, 2011
"Purchased this jack at CT on sale for $119.99. Speedy lift doesn't work! Purchased this jack hoping the quality stands up to the manufacturer. Guess I was wrong!! I'll have to return to store tomorrow and exchange for another one. Hope that one works OK!! This floor jack is awefully heavy and I don't appreciate the idea of loading and unloading it (purchased today) to get it replaced. Hopefully when they replace it I won't have any trouble for years to come. Makes you wonder why they only carry a one year warranty. If the product is as good as they state, you'd think they would have a longer warranty period!! I'll surely check at the store before I get a replacement to see if the speedy lift works!!"

A little disappointing

Date:September 28, 2011
"Owned the unit for a few years, worked like a champ until the seals self-destructed. It wasn't heavily used, simply because it was so heavy. Kept it maintained, clean. Looks like the seals just got old and gave up with age..."

Lasted 3 yrs and then started leaking

Tough and Beefy.

Date:August 11, 2011
"This is a great quality unit.
It will lift my lifted 2500HD GM right off the ground completely. The height reach on this thing is AMAZING!!!
It also goes down low enough to get under the wife's car that's pretty low to the ground.
Just check the oil level once a year and keep the pivots lubed up and it will be great for lifting a TON of stuff for years to come.
I like that it has the one pump to reach the chassis feature. Makes for a quick lift.
This is C-tires biggest and baddest floor jack.
It's heavy but that's because its steal and not cheap weak aluminum that will break.
(Trust me, i took back 3 different ones that i bought from C-tire and finally smartened up and bought this one.)
It sits in my shop so i don't care how much it weighs.
Go get one when they are one sale and save yourself $50 like i did. NOW!!!"

Worthy Investment

Date:May 5, 2011
"I purchased this lift jack about a year ago and it has been a life saver! I have used it for oil changes, summer/winter tire install and removal and doing brake jobs on both of my cars. Very well made and a heavy duty lift. I got mine when it was on sale (don't remember the price, but I believe it was $100 or $120).
If you are looking for a high end heavy duty lift, get this one."

A big no no..

Date:January 25, 2011
"For me, I had the jack for about 3 years, the first 2 years work perfectly, until it couldnt hold the pressure anymore or one time it didnt want to go down after it was all the way up..
Anyway, today I just open it to see what was the problem, and everything is a big mess! lol
..broken seals/scrach cylinder wall etc etc..
Kind of dissapointed, and the only thing I lifted was my little Subaru.
It perform Great until it broke for no apparent reason..
Ps: Sorry for the bad English."

Jack be quick, but not so nimble

Date:April 26, 2010
"This is a great jack, especially for the price. It's very solid, and very high quality.
It's low enough to get under my (classic) Austin Mini, and lifts high enough for my Jeep TJ. I use the jack for general maintenance and other work on both vehicles, as well as swapping winter/summer tires on the Jeep. The savings from swapping my winter tires myself has already paid for the jack.
If you need something portable, this isn't the jack for you. It's quite large and is best in the garage. As others have mentioned, the handle doesn't store vertically so it takes up a lot of space unless you remove the handle (one bolt) for storage.
I've had the smaller 2 ton floor jack that Canadian Tire sells, and it's good (and portable), but for my garage, I far prefer this larger floor jack.
Highly Recommended :)"

Great Jack for at home use

Date:December 30, 2009
"Like mentioned before, if you're an at home amature mechanic, this is the jack for you! Excellent construction and very beefy (just shy of 100lbs)! Perfect for lifting your car up to a decent height within minutes.I've done a several clutch swaps using this jack and it is able to raise the car up to a height where the tranny can be lowered and removed from the car with clearance to spare (lifting once from the diff and placing stands at the rear, and again from the front cross member and placing stands at the front). If you need a jack for your garage at home, this is the one! Its not very mobile though so if you're looking for a portable one, get something smaller. I personally havent had an issue with storage,... the handle just pulls right out without issue for me."

Strong, fast

Date:December 29, 2009
"Main downside is the handle does not go vertical and does not easily come off. This makes it difficult to store.
The speed and power of it at this price make up for it however. It has enough lift to get my Grand cherokee off the ground."

As heavy as it is good

Date:March 24, 2009
"This jack is the best one I have ever used. The "Speedy lift" works well, and the long handle means I can jack up a car by the differential without having to get under it. My only complaints are that it is a pain to store because the handle doesn't come off readily, and it can't get quite vertical so it's always in my way. It also weighs more than the cars I jack up with it. But as far as jacks go, this one is champ and I highly recommend it."

A must for the home mechanic

Date:March 24, 2009
"This floor jack is a must for the home mechanic. It's heavy duty. It has a large footprint which makes it stable. The lifting pad has a rubber insert that protects the vehicle. It has a great lifting height. It also has a power stroke to bring the lifting pad up to the vehicle quickly. A "quality" jack and stands is probably the most important tool for your garage. Always use safety stands and leave the jack in place as an extra security. I would definitely recommend to any home mechanic."
